Macrame is a timeless art. It is so easy to integrate into your cozy home! When I think of bohemian style, I think of sunlight, comfort, airiness, and just all around naturalness. Blankets, lush plants, family photos, and of course macrame, are all perfect elements to begin decorating your bohemian home. Here are some tips on how to integrate macrame into your home style!

Step one of one hundred and seven (since the possibilities are endless)! Find the perfect plant. Search for a plant that will fit the groove of your home that’s not too big and will still fit in a small pot. Visualize your ideal color and design of a macrame plant hanger. Do you like neutrals (i.e. natural, white, or tan)? Would you prefer a bold design, such as a plant hanger that hangs like a chandelier, or one that can hold two plants at once? Choose your plant(s) based off of those decisions! Hanging a macrame plant hanger is easy. They come ready to hang with a metal or wooden ring. All you need to do is find your ideal hook to hang it from, whether it be from your ceiling or the wall! Google search, “plant hanger bracket” and it will show you tons of inspiration!

Another easy way to integrate macrame into your home is to find a room with beautiful and bright light. Voila! Enter macrame! Macrame fiber art flourishes in a room where you can easily capture its beauty. There are many options in my shop of small, medium and extra large macrame pieces that can make its healthy transition to your living areas or bedrooms. Start a collage on the wall in your living area of family photos and find the best fit for your new piece. Extra large pieces are also insanely gorgeous over the headboard of your cozy bed! The best thing about modern bohemian style is that there is no proper or perfect way to decorate! It is all how your heart sees fit.

I cannot wait to see macrame fill your lovely homes. Bohemian style is such a freeing decorating style. Tag me on IG: @marimacrame_ and hashtag #MariMacrame so that I can see your macrame in your beautiful space!
