Our Story

My art is a fiber collection of handmade, hand-knotted pieces. Each piece has a story, mood or function. Mediums used in my art are not limited. I use branches, wool, cotton, metal, paper yarn, silk, velvet ribbon and so much more. It truly is a collection of fiber.

My daughter and I, she is the one who inspired me to start this hobby turned business.

Hi, I’m Marissa! I grew up a South Bend, Notre Dame, Indiana native. I am a mother of a fifteen month old sassy little girl who, when the opportunity first came to move to Kentucky arose, was eight months old. Moving away from the waitressing job I had in my hometown, I had to stay home and raise Jasmine while her dad worked and supported us. That was his job. She was mine. I have always been content with that decision!

I was happy with my new job, but as all stay at home mothers would know, sometimes cleaning up the baby, feeding the baby, cleaning up the house, and occasionally feeding yourself can be quite the tiring routine. I needed something else to keep my busy hands MORE busy.

I started playing with garage sale found macrame cord, which was so rough, but great practice. I practiced until I deemed it was appropriate for me to share my work with others. It was never about me selling things, and it still is not about selling things. I found a hobby that I can think about all day and all night long and it does not bore me. I found a hobby that finally tapped into my creative brain and it gives me joy to share a piece of happiness for everyone’s home!

Thank you so much for allowing me to share that joy. For allowing me to express myself. I appreciate you shopping small more than you’ll ever know!

Xo, Marissa
